Meet: Class A Invitational
Date: 2011-04-12KALISPELL — big marks were aplenty at the Class A Invitational track and field meet at Legends Stadium, from triple-winner Michael Managhan of Kalispell Flathead to another triple by Kalispell Glacier's Lexi Boschee.
Boschee was among the top performers at the 11-team, unscored meet. She leapt 17 feet, 6.5 inches to win the triple jump and also claimed wins in the triple jump (36-2) and 100-meter hurdles (16.06 seconds).
Flathead's Tess Brenneman put up impressive times while winning the 200 (26.82) and 400 (60.69) but lost to Cut Bank star Deni Fitzpatrick in the 100 in one of the top races of the day.
Fitzpatrick clocked 13.05, and also won the 300 hurdles in 47.85, edging Polson's Breanne Kelley.
Managhan swept the sprints, including the 400 with a time of 52.58. He was the lone multi-winner among the boys, but several others had impressive marks.
Glacier's Jacob Leininger clocked 15.16 to win the 110 hurdles; teammate Shane Freese cleared 6-6 to win the high jump and the Wolfpack's Tanner Morrison threw 160-6 to take the discus.
Glacier's Richie Boyer won the 1,600 in 4:48.33.
Libby's Kody Berget won the 300 hurdles in 40.95.
Flathead's Zach Perrin won the 3,200 in 9:57.3.
