Meet: Flathead-Great Falls Dual
Date: 2011-04-09KALISPELL — Flathead teams swept the dual with the Bravettes beating the Bison 100-45 and the Braves earning a 91-53 victory.
Tess Brenneman and Kwyn Johnson were multi-event winners for the Flathead girls. Brenneman won the 200 with a time of 27.09 and the long jump with a distance of 16-8 1/2. Johnson took the 300 hurdles in 49.97 and the triple jump with a leap of 32-5 1/2.
Great Falls received wins in the 800 and 1,600 from Rachel Stewart and in the discus and shot put from Caitlyn Cayer.
Michael Managhan led the way for the Flathead boys, scoring victories in the 100, 200 and 400.
John Collins gave the Braves victories in the hurdles events, taking the 110 in 16.48 and the 300 with a time of 42.05.
The Bison picked up wins in the 800 by Ben Vaughn, the 3,200 by Will Strauss, the long jump from Ethan Anderson and the triple jump by Zane Winters. (Missoulian, April 10, 2011)
